Give game night a new-school twist. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Play a board game with custom penalty cards. Before game play, write up and add your own cards to the mix. A suggested penalty could be your friend must not only move back four spaces, he must also run around the house singing “I’m a Little Teapot.”
Just as everyone has a favorite FUZE® flavor, they probably have a favorite type of game as well. Maybe you rock at word games but tank on trivia. It’s probably the same for your family. So test the total gaming prowess of your group with an Ultimate Game-Night Championship. Set up a series of games paired with an ongoing total score.
Race Against Time
To add fun (and difficulty) to any game, change the pace of play by creating deadlines for players to make their move. An egg timer, hourglass or even a watch with a second hand will help keep things on track. With this approach, each player must not only triumph over her opponents, but also beat the clock.
Checkers? Fun. Checkers with food? Fun and tasty. Instead of regular checkers, create playing pieces from crackers topped with meats, cheeses or veggies. You get to eat any jumped “men.” Don’t forget to pair it with a refreshing FUZE® and enjoy the sweet taste of victory.
Add a dose of “silly” to traditional charades by allowing teams to create additional challenges for each other. For example, the actor must wordlessly convey a movie title using just his right arm. Variations could include acting while jumping up and down, facing backward, keeping eyes closed, standing on one leg, etc. The only limits are your imagination and your tolerance for contagious laughter.
